Have you visited the White Dessert in Gujarat? If not yet, then pay a visit to Rann of Kutch one day. It is very quiet and peaceful out in the nights.
This picture was taken at the highest point of Rann of Kutch. Once you reach this destination, at the car parking area, you will find many camels and their owners waiting to take people up to the actual highest point as some old people may struggle to walk up. Some people just want to experience the camel ride too.
A hoarding to indicate the sunset point, highest point in Kutch which is 458 meters above the Rann, the white dessert.
I took a photo in colour to show you how the White dessert looks like from the highest point in Kutch.
A quote on one of the steps to the highest point in Kutch reads “One Tree Is Equal To Ten Sons”
A street food vendor prepares and sells local salad and chaat for a living. Am guessing he lives in the nearby area and comes over every day up to this point for his business. I love his way of life. But, he needs to depend on tourists heavily.
We took a stroll from the entrance to the White dessert unlike many who took a shuttle bus or commuted in cars all the way. It must be a 2kms walk if my memory serves right. My friend was eager to take the shuttle but I told him that we could walk and talk and experience the location better that way. And, we had all the time too so why take an option that gives you comfort?
Finally we arrive on the white dessert and my best friend was way too excited. He also has the habit of running and act as if he is bowling. In India, if you play cricket or even enjoy watching the sport, many men have the same habit. We have a bowling action without a ball. haha! You must visualise or experience it one day.
Taking photos of the sunset on the White Dessert was truly a beautiful experience and a joyous one to see a colourful sky.
Posing with a biker who we met at the highest point. While I was wearing a beanie with Horns, his helmet had feathers. Since we both were wearing something that attracted attention, I politely called him and requested him to sit with and pose for a photograph. He was happy to pose too.
Beautiful Panorama Image taken at the White Dessert using my iPhone 5.

Food At Rann Utsav 2017
The majority of the population is vegetarian. Jains, brahmins and some other caste practice strict vegetarianism. Jains also refrain from eating kandmool food grown below the ground such as potatoes, garlic, onion, and yam.
My best friend and I were super hungry and so decided to eat our dinner at the Rann Utsav and we had many options to choose from i.e. Indian food, Chinese, Chaat and Italian cuisine too. But, we resorted to eating Indian Chaat. It was a long day for us and we enjoyed visiting the Rann of Kutch and driving to the highest point of Rann of Kutch too. This Dahi Puri was very delicious that I ordered it twice and ate.
This Pav Bhaji was very yummy. The moment we came inside the makeshift eatery and sat down to eat Vada Pan for a start, soon we noticed that Pan Bhaji was being eaten by a few and they enjoyed it too. So, I ordered for one and ate. It came with a salad. I have never eaten Pan Bhaji with a salad.
The first thing that I ordered to eat was the Dahi Puri. Then, I ordered for a Vada Pav before ordering and eating the Pav Bhaji. The Vada Pan was extremely tasty too. I loved it a lot.
I must indicate that there were many stalls at the Rann Utsav 2016-2017 and all under Shamiana. Each business or eatery owner is allotted some space to sell what he cooks. We had our dinner at 8:30pm.
People stay in luxury tents near the festival so they could attend the Rann Utsav, visit the highest point of Kutch, gaze at the stars in the night, experience folk music and dance et cetera. The price of tents vary from one and other based on size, luxury, entertainment that is available et cetera. The prices for stay per night could vary from Rs 3,000/- up to Rs 25,000/- and even more.
