A sumptous English Breakfast on a Sunday is always a delight and treat to the stomach. And if it is unlimited, it is nothing less than divine. Happiness guaranteed!
So my friend and I visited Lloyds Tea House in Chennai for an unlimited breakfast buffet. I was really looking forward to it because it was a long time since I ate an English breakfast. Sundays are typically cheating days when you work a lot and eat less during the week.
My friend and I have a big sweet tooth so no meal is finished without a dessert or sweet.
Oh, I love Bacon. When I worked at a restaurant many years ago, I remember eating bacon daily or once in two days. Human taste buds can detect 5 main forms of flavours and they are Sweet, Salty, Bitter, Sour and Umami. The Umami is the key to Bacon love. Bacon is moist happiness dancing in your mouth.
A sunny side up with a smile? Really? Gosh, it just lightens you up more. As it is you are happy eating such delicious food and you top it up with some decoration, you are just pushing the envelope, to keep a human being happy.
We never expected to have muffins and cakes served at Lloyds Tea House. We were very delighted to see them being served and gorged on those lovely cupcakes, muffins, cakes, et cetera.
Lloyds Tea House in Chennai has stopped unlimited English breakfasts because of less turnout. But, their a la carté menu is quite fascinating with a range of teas from across the country.
