Lydies is run by Lydies herself along with her husband Abdullah. Majority of the dishes served at the restaurant are recipes of the couple. Lydies’s passion for food and a fantastic finance background made her open the restaurant. Lydies is Belgian and she has lived most of her life in Belgium and London. It was my second visit to Lydies Restaurant and the quality of food was consistent. And, I enjoyed my second visit more as lied down on a boat to eat.
Lydies is a fantastic person and has plenty of stories to share. On my first visit, she shared her experience of visiting the first Nando’s restaurant that was opened in South Africa in 1987.
