Fringe Festival In Scotland

Edinburgh Fringe Festival

I arrived in edinburgh on sunday, 22nd august, 2011 for a holiday. Accidentally, I witnessed a few of the fringe festival events. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and takes place every August for three weeks in Scotland’s capital city.

There are apparently more than 20000 shows in a span of three of weeks. There are artists who have travelled from different parts of the world to participate in this festival. The worst part is they do not get paid by the organisers. Instead, they get paid by the tourists or locals who witness their show. On the contrary, this show is for students or upcoming artists who want to mark a name for themselves. Some are here to improve their brand equity. It is a brilliant platform for these artists.
